Managing Multiple Companies & Adding New Users to Compass AI

Compass AI is built to scale with your needs—whether you're a fractional CFO managing multiple client portfolios, a founder running several ventures, or a growing company that needs team collaboration on financial data.
Managing Multiple Companies
The multi-company feature lets you switch between different business entities without logging out or managing multiple accounts. This is particularly valuable for fractional CFOs who work with multiple clients and need quick access to each company's financial data, or for founders managing multiple businesses simultaneously.
Adding a New Company
Your company icon is always accessible in the bottom left corner of Compass AI. Click on it, then click the small arrow to expand the menu. Here you'll see the "Add New Company" option, this is also where you’ll be able to switch between companies when adding new ones.
There's no limit to the number of companies you can add, making it easy to manage an entire client portfolio from a single Compass AI account. Each company maintains its own unique financial data, categories, forecasts, and settings, which ensures complete isolation between different entities.
Once you've added a new company, switching between them is as simple as clicking on the company icon and selecting which one you want to view. This seamless switching means you can review one client's cash flow, jump to another client's forecast, and analyze a third client's metrics, all within just a few clicks.
Inviting Team Members To Your Compass AI Instance
As your team grows or your clients need access to their own financial data, Compass AI's multi-user management lets you collaborate without sharing login credentials.
Accessing User Management
Navigate to the Settings page where you'll find user management options. Here you can invite team members, assign roles, and manage who has access to your company's Compass AI instance.
Click "Invite User" to add someone to your company. You'll enter their email address and assign them a role (such as Advisor, CFO, or Accountant).
Note: Assigned roles do not impact visibility or feature access, so all users have full access to Compass AI’s feature for that company.
When sending an invitation, you can choose whether to keep the invitee notified of any changes related to that company. If email notification is enabled, invited users will receive updates, changes and alerts notifying them. Once accepted, users can choose whether to keep their current notification settings, or to disable them. Users that accept can also invite other users to join.
The user management page displays all current users, their assigned roles, and gives you the ability to modify or remove their access. This makes it easy to onboard new team members or offboard users when they leave your organization.
